“1^st European Para Budo Championship”

Everybody with a disability can participate. We are open to all styles, all dojos, all countries, and all individuals. 

 

On Saturday may 24, 2025, we will conduct a course for coaches, referees, and instructors to become familiar with our training and tournament system and methods. Participation in the course is free, and you can help us during the tournament as a coach or referee.

The Para Budo Federation is open to all disability students (look for the categories download link bellow)

 

Awards:

1st, 2^nd, 3rd and 4th place: Trophee, medal, and diploma.

 

 

Tournament disciplines:

Kata individual

Kata in pairs with a buddy (regular or disabled Karateka)

Kata in a team with 3 participants

Kumite free fight for 1 minute on a big mitt (a large pad where you can kick and punch)

We look for who fights with the most spirit, the best condition and fitness, and the most effective techniques.

Sunday, May 25^th

08.30: doors open,

08.30 - 09.30u tesing not qualified participants

09.00 - 09.30: registration of participants

10.00: Start of the competition

12.30: Prize ceremony 1^st part

13.00: Pauze

14.00: Start second part

17.00: Prize ceremony second part

18.00: Sayonara drink and hamburgers.

Accommodation, flight tickets, hotel and other costs are the sole responsibility of all attendees (including participants, referees, and officials)

unless otherwise explicitly agreed upon with the organisation.

Payment:

The entry fee for the tournament is 15 euros per athlete + 5€ for each extra discipline.

If a participant needs a buddy or medical help these helping people will have free entrance.

Transportation:

The nearest airports to reach the tournament location are:

Brussels Airport: For airport transportation from Brussels Airport to the hotel, you can use the Sabena shuttle bus.

Price for that bus is € 10,- for a one-way ticket, and the bus stops 100 meters from the hotel. This bus connection is operated by the Belgian government; the organizing committee for this tournament is not responsible for this transport.

Mercure City South Antwerp Hotel is a smart 4-star hotel in Antwerp,

conveniently located in the heart of the business district and just a ten-minute drive (3 km) from the historic city center.

Antwerp City Centre is easily accessible by a regular tram service that operates seven days a week

from 6 AM to midnight. The tram stop is just outside the entrance to the hotel.

Travel time to the city center is approximately 10 minutes.

In a nutshell: free internet throughout the hotel, easily accessible by car and public transportation,

private parking facilities (additional charges apply), fitness room, saunas, meeting rooms, party space, and more!
